Windowsill Flowers – Bring Everyday Joys to your Kitchen

One simple way that I bring color and beauty into my home is by filling the small vases that line the windowsill above my kitchen sink.

Since I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, these flowers are “to me from me” gifts that make me happy. Really happy.

 I just have to remind myself, when I see those empty vases, to slow down, grab my clippers and basket, and head outside.

The act of going outside into the fresh air to cut flowers for the house perks me up and makes me feel grateful. If you don’t have access to flowers in a garden, treat yourself and buy a bunch from your local farmers’ market or grocery store.
